Nat Azúa

is a self-taught, college-enhanced multidisciplinary Chicanx/Salvadoran-American artist based in Houston.

Nat specializes in art created with traditional media and methods. They occasionally work with digital media, as well as ceramic and found objects. Artistic themes often explored include angst, gender fluidity, capitalism, and pop culture nostalgia. While they began dabbling in drawing and painting at a very young age, Nat's immersion in visual art primarily developed during high school. They have over a decade of experience creating personal projects, public art, and commissioned work. Nat's artwork has made many appearances throughout the country, but most notably, within the Texas art scene. They have had artworks featured in various publications including Celebrating Art and the Fort Bend Herald. In 2012, their artwork was personally selected by Lady Gaga to appear in the V Magazine Spring 2013 issue. Nat has displayed art at Houston Art Car Parade, The Dr. Mari Jon Filla Art Exhibit, Sugar Land Town Square, Hardy and Nance Studios, The Art Museum of South Texas, and other various local art galleries around the Greater Houston area. They currently work as a tattoo artist and body piercer in the Houston area.
